Description of Class
Dot to Dot is an add-on abbreviated pattern that shows a design that can be made using the Quick Curve Ruler ($25.00 ) It makes a lovely one block pattern using inset seams that fit perfectly, showing dissected circles and sewn in curves with a lattice sashing. This class will highlight inset seams the easy way, cutting circular shapes with your rotary cutter and Quick Curve Ruler, precise sewing of curves, and how to slice blocks and make new blocks, to reveal a scrappy fun quilt.

Pattern: $4 (Paid to teacher on day of the class)
Kit: No kit
If you want to just do 2 Dot to Dot Blocks 9″x 9″:
(2) 10″x10″ print squares;
(2) 10″x10″ background.
Fabric Needed for 56″ x 56″ quilt:
(18) 10″x10″prints from “layer cake” or total of 1 1/2 yard print fabric;
(18) 10″x10″ squares background or 1 1/2 yards;
1/8 yard cornerstone fabric;
1 yard sashing(same as background fabric);
1/2 yd. binding fabric;
3 3/4 yard backing fabric;
60″x60″ batting (do not bring binding, backing or batting to class)
Pre-Class Cutting for (2) Dot to Dot blocks:
Prints cut (2) 10″x10″ squares if you are using your stash or yardage;
Background: cut (2) 10″x10″ squares if using yardage;
Pre-Class cutting for Dot to Dot Quilt (18) blocks:
Prints: cut (18) 10″x10″ squares if you are using stash or yardage (or bring layer cake squares;
Background: cut (18) 10″x10″ squares if using yardage (or bring layer cake squares);
Sashing Fabric: cut (60) 2″x8 5/8″ strips;
Cornerstone fabric: cut (25) 2″x2″ sq.
Quick Curve Ruler by Sew kind of Wonderful ($25.00) required.
Square ruler for 9″ blocks (optional);
Rotary cutter with new blade and small cutting mat 12×18″ ,
Don’t forget your machine cords and a new needle.
BSK (Basic Sewing Kit: Sewing Machine in working order with power cord & foot pedal, thread, extra sewing needle, straight pins, paper scissors, fabric scissors, seam ripper, rotary cutter with a fresh blade, a ruler that is sufficient for the class, cutting mat, paper & pens/pencil for taking notes, iron and your favorite treats)
