Using fusible grid interfacing, this modern baby quilt goes together quickly with perfectly matched corners every single time! The dimensional butterflies and flange binding will make this fun quilt a new favorite. This is the perfect class for introductions to piecing with fusible grid, dimensional elements, basic applique and flange bindings!

Fabric Requirements:
(using 42” wide fabric):
20 Different Small Prints for Butterflies: 5” x 2 ½” minimum
Or 2 sets Mini Charms (2 ½” x 2 ½” squares)
Or 1 Charm Pack (5” x 5” squares)
Light Gray Background: 2 yards
Dark Gray Print for Binding and Applique: ½ yard
Light Blue Print for Flange (optional): ¼ yard
1” Fusible Grid Interfacing: 2 ½ yards
Backing Fabric: 1 ½ yards
Applique Materials of your choice such as Heat ‘n’ Bond Light or freezer paper

Cutting Directions:
Butterfly Prints: Cut 2 squares, 2 ½” x 2 ½”, from each of the prints.
Light Gray: Cut 22 strips, 3” x 42”; sub cut into:
13 squares, 3” x 3” from each strip for a total of 285 squares
Dark Gray: Cut 5 strips, 2 ½” x 42” for the binding. Save remaining for applique.
Light Blue: Cut 5 strips, 1” x 42”
