Beginning Sashiko

Description of Class

Japanese Sashiko is an ancient method of hand stitching. It is incredibly simple and easy, but produces amazing beautiful designs using a simple Running Stitch. With this class, you will receive a pre-printed panel which will assist you with accurate spacing and consistency in your stitching. I will also teach students how to transfer and stitch their own designs as well. Class will feature a small trunk show of quilts and projects for inspiration as well as background history on the ancient art of Sashiko.
