Hand Pieced Spool Blocks

Description of Class:
Ever wish for a portable sewing project for long waits at the doctor’s office, soccer practice, or travel?  Or something that can be sewn from the comfort of your recliner in front of the TV?  In this class, students will learn hand-piecing skills, including two demonstrated methods for prepping: the traditional use of templates for tracing and a much easier technique using inked template stamps from designer Cindy Blackberg, http://www.cindyblackberg.com.  Students will hand-piece the spool block in class, practicing the quilters knot, intersecting seams, and sequential piecing.
