Happy Hexi Flowers

Description of Class:  Have you tried English Paper Piecing yet? EPP is the perfect portable project. You can take it almost anywhere. Not only is it portable, it is relaxing. Hexagon flowers are fun to make, and new fusible hexagons make them even more fun. This is the perfect project to learn EPP. It just may become your new obsession!

Fabric Requirements

1 charm pack (38 – 5″ squares) or 4 mini charm packs (151-2 1/2″ squares)

1 package 1″ Hugs & Kisses fusible hexagons (One included in pattern fee. Extra will be available for purchase)

1 yard background fabric

1 yard backing fabric

1/4 yard binding fabric


Cutting Instructions

            If using a charm pack or 5″ squares, cut them all into 2 1/2″ squares.

Sort 63 of the 2 1/2″ squares into nine flowers, each with 1 center and 6 petals.

From the background fabric, cut 9 – 7″ squares.


Supplies needed:

Basic Sewing Kit (Machine in good working order, machine cord/pedal, straight pins, fabric scissors, paper scissors, needles, thread, notebook, pen/pencils, 18” ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat, iron, and of course chocolate)

Sewline glue pen (will be available for purchase, other brands are acceptable)

Thimble (optional)

Spray baste. Bring if you have it. If you don’t have it, you can use mine.
