Lightening Streaks Through the Nines by Krisanne Watkins

This table runner was designed to beautify a very damaged “inherited” table. We always meant to refinish it, but have yet to get around to that. The runner looks wonderful on the table. It is composed of nine patches set on the diagonal in a Streak of Lightening setting. ©2013 Quail Valley Quilts.

Fabric Requirements

2/3 yards gold print
1 yard navy print (for blocks and binding)
Assorted scraps (at least 1 ½ inches by 9 inches) to make 9 patches

Cutting Instructions

Variety of strips 1 ½ inches. (need 9 inch minimum of each fabric). These strips will be used for the nine patches
Cut 28 5 1/2 inch squares cut twice diagonally (Gold, A)
Cut 2 3 inch squares cut once diagonally (Gold, B)
Cut 7 5 ½ inch squares cut twice diagonally, (Navy, C)
Cut 2 3 inch squares cut once diagonally (Navy, D)
