Description of Class

Lots of summer fun with flowers, flags, and fruit stitched onto black wool blocks and colorful red background. Learn about wool appliqué, different methods of cutting and stitching wool. All skill levels for this cute summer wall hanging. If you haven’t worked in wool before or done much appliqué, this is a fun project to start!

Supplies needed:
Basic Sewing Kit (Machine in good working order, machine cord/pedal, straight pins, fabric scissors, paper scissors, needles, thread, notebook, pen/pencils, 18” ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat, iron, and of course chocolate)

11 ½” x 13 ½” Backing fabric
12” x 14” Black- blocks, barn window and door, Sheep heads, bee hive and birdhouse holes
4” x 4” Red- barn, flag, bird
2 ½” x 3 ½” Lt. Red- strawberries, watermelon
4” x 4” Dk. Green- leaves, mounds, pineapple top, outer rind
3” x 3” Lt. Green- leaves, inner rind, strawberry tops
4” x 4” Brown- birdhouse pole, sunflower centers, beehive
2” x 4” Tan- pineapple, birdhouse
2” x 2” Blue- bird, birdhouse roof
3” x 3” Orange- flower pots, bird wing and beak
3” x 3” White- flowers, sheep, bee wings
3 ½” x 3 ½” Yellow- flower centers, sunflowers, stars, bees
3’ x 3” Grey- watering can, flagpole
1 ½” x 1 ½” Cream- second sheep
