Have you ever wanted to machine quilt your own quilts but didn’t know where to start? Completing a quilt from start to finish can be so satisfying and now it’s easier than ever to get smooth curves and beautiful motifs with the help of the myriad of quilting rulers that are on the market. In this class you will learn to use a straight ruler and a set of circle rulers to create beautiful designs with very little marking on your domestic machine. Learn how to set up your machine for rulerwork, how to handle the rulers safely, get tips for ruler placement and see many types of rulers that are available and what to look for in a good ruler. You must have a ruler foot for your machine. Many of the major sewing machine brands now have their own ruler foot, including Bernina, Janome, Babylock, and Husqvarna Viking. Westalee also offers a generic foot, just let them know whether your machine has a high or low shank. Rulerwork can open up so many possibilities for your machine quilting. Learn how much fun it can be.
